On December 22, 1994 the hall was inaugurated on the occasion of the fifth commemoration of the Romanian Revolution of 1989.
Union Hall was designed for large receptions which took place at the head of state in this building. Her original name was "banquet hall", which entail a fast processing architecture of the rooms. Interior space is the largest (the second in height) of the International Conference Center rooms, the exception, the entire palace.
It is composed of a large central vessel (18/54m), with an ornate central skylight (cast aluminum, coated with gold slagmetal) and two lateral vessels (6x42m), separated them by two colonnade. Main vessel is the average height of 15m, and the two side of 12.50 m with ceilings solved intersection of cylinders.
The columns are fluted Romanian style, with Corinthian Capitel and white marble are Ruschita. Plaster walls have mirrors with frames of richly decorated white marble Ruschita. Backgrounds are treated almost identically decorated with a very strong spring and a field of white marble. and the ceiling is glass.
Given the size of the room, the long side entrance doors were treated as monumental gates, intarsia box cherry wood and white marble frame, with architecture inspired by traditional Romanian reasons.
Room opens directly to outside the park, through some doors - 8 m tall windows with metal trim in stainless steel.
Enlightener covering almost the entire central nave is executed by artists with elements of cast aluminum coated with gold şlagmetal.
Huge carpet (1100 meters) to cover the entire central part of the room was designed specifically for this space, with elements taken from the room décor. There is always exposed, living being widely used for national and international fairs.
