Parliament palace

Since 1994 the building work the Chamber of Deputies, after the initial headquarters of the institution, the Palace of the Chamber of Deputies, was donated to the state of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Since 2004 there is also the Romanian Senate, was originally housed in the former building of the Romanian Communist Party's Central Committee. It also houses the Parliament Palace in its many halls and lounges, a wide variety of events, exhibitions or meetings.

Between 2003-2004 an annex was built along the glass exterior elevators. This construction is to facilitate access to the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MNAC) opened in 2004 after a refurbishment in the west wing of the palace. In the same period, a project supported flying a huge flag was canceled due to protests from the public. A flag was already hoisted on the building but was removed together with the media.

The restaurant, accessible only to politicians, has been renovated, project planning followed by a swimming pool, sauna and sports facilities at basement level 1.

Also in 1995, the building houses the headquarters Initiative Southeast European Cooperative Initiative (SECI), a collaboration that aims to reduce the level of cross-border crime within countries.

Much of the building (west wing, part of the wing is part of the second level, 3 level basement and other below that), to be completed. Meanwhile, an underground car park being built in place of a former stadium, currently used as a warehouse, which was covered during the construction of the palace. It also has plans to build tunnels connecting path of the basement of the building September 13.

The palace is open to visit by tourists visiting and offers programs in several languages for international use.
